...I’ve also taught calculus courses in a university setting - everything from calc 1 to surface integrals and Stokes’ theorem. My teaching evaluations have always been excellent, with many students telling me I’m the best math teacher they ever had. ...There is a symmetry and pattern to algebra that can be very helpful. I believe that many students who struggle with algebra don't realize that they already intuitively know much of it, but are not able to recognize what they know, because it is written in a "language" that is unfamiliar to them....
