...I am certified to teach K-12 but have found myself enjoying K-6 the most. I find myself being the most comfortable and familiar with the curriculum seeing as how I have spent majority of my teaching time in K-6. A lot of students require modified work, which means I may have to rewrite the work in a lower language level so my students can understand it. (read more)

Vocabulary is taught early on, and once a child gets behind, it is difficult to learn and retain new vocabulary.
