...I think it is important to adapt one's teaching style to each student -- in fact, this is why I enjoy tutoring in math 1-on-1. Many students struggle with math not because they cannot perform the reasoning involved, but because the material was framed using foreign vocabulary or concepts. Once things are presented in more familiar terminology, they will often 'click' for the student. (read more)
