...With all that said, I am a huge believer in positive reinforcement. Most of my students work hard for one of the prizes on the shelf, but outside Mathnasium, the sky’s the limit with incentives. Of course, they need to work for it, but it’s important to feel accomplished for said work, mostly with something other than a number on a piece of paper. (read more)

One such test is the SSAT, which tests their ability to understand usage and rhetoric based questions for verbal and reading sections as well as analogies.
