...I graduated cum laude from my alma mater, and volunteered in the history lab while I was a student. I love all sorts of history, but concentrated in Women's and Ancient history. I have taken courses in history ranging from World History, Middle Eastern History, American History, Southern Studies, Historiography and Methodology, and research classes. (read more)
...I have attended many hours of teacher training through the Arlington Independent School District on the various methods to teach children to read. I am also currently employed by that district as a reading tutor. Most of my experience is in teaching first and second grades where there is an emphasis on using phonics to teach reading.
