...I have been a General Chemistry I and II tutor for the past two years at SHSU's tutoring service on campus: the Academic Success Center. I individually worked with college students on understanding the concepts presented in their homework and quizzes. I worked with what the student gave me, so it is a more directional approach rather than just describing vague concepts with no background. (read more)
I have taught for 4 years as a dual credit teacher for both Biology in high school and South Texas College. I also have two scientific publications in my field of microbial ecology. I love to teach science because I feel that many people, who may love it as well, are stuck in a situation where the people who are teaching them have not actually been though the scientific field.
