...In college I have taken several other courses which focus on proofs such as linear algebra, discrete math and computational complexity. I took AP Physics C in Highschool, and got a 5 on both the AP tests for Mechanics and Electricity and Magnetism. In Math Honor Society I sometimes tutored physics. (read more)
...Part of my method is to also include the student to where it is not just me giving a lecture. Mathematics is a very practical subject and I feel it is best taught in a "left seat, right seat" method. I will demonstrate how a particular problem is solved or derived, then I will come up with a very similar problem and let the student go through it. (read more)
...I also am able to help students link the concept to the appropriate mathematical formula to facilitate problem solving. I am a certified TX instructor in Mathematics and Composite Science and have successfully tutored many students in TAKS math. I believe I can help a student prepare for the TEAS exam given my background in Math & Science. (read more)
...Currently, I am a professional student in pharmacy, pursuing my PharmD and PhD. I have excelled at many science and writing-based classes. I have also tutored standardized tests, such as the GRE, PCAT, SAT, ACT, and AP tests, extensively. (read more)
...I will also graduate with a Ph.D. in physics. My goal is to help students not only solve problems but also to help them understand and highlight fundamental concepts and principles in order for them to see the bigger picture. This way students will see how various ideas in math or physics are connected and hopefully then develop enthusiasm for the subject. (read more)
