To start off, I have both a BA and an MA in English. I have taken classes on how to teach English and have a strong background in American Literature and Multicultural Literature. ...I'm Bev. After growing up in Washington State, I went to California for college and earned a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics and a Master's in Journalism at the University of California-Berkeley. I also earned a certificate in teaching English as a second language, which I put to use at the College of San Mateo helping immigrants become proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English.
