...David Foster has been tutoring in prealgebra for almost 40 years. He was tutoring fellow students informally while in 8th grade! He has continued to tutor both professionally and pro bono since his four years at UCLA (where he majored in Math).

...I carry this mentality with me when it comes to the methods by which I tutor. My typical tutoring cycle starts off with asking the student how they interpret the content that confuses them. This process gives me something to work off of, and gives me an idea of what aspects of the content to focus on, and what aspects can be addressed at a later time. (read more)
