I've taught philosophy at local universities for the last several years. My classes are heavy on reading, comprehension, analysis, and composition, and I help my students through every step of each of these processes. ...I would reinforce reviewing objectives presented, key terms, and available questions at the end of chapters or lessons prior to engaging in reading content. In addition, I would show students how to take notes using an outline format unless one already exists in the source they are using. I would emphasize learning key terms and concepts using flash cards. (read more)
