...I have an AAS in Deaf Communications and I am a certified/ licensed Interpreter in the state of Missouri. I am a hearing individual with much respect for Deaf individuals and Deaf culture. If you have an opportunity to learn this language from a Deaf person, I would recommend that. (read more)
I love seeing the light bulb go on for students when they discover that they are really their own best teachers - when the student realizes that learning is really big fun. I have taught everything from grade school through college, including ESL. I love international students because they are such dedicated learners and are so willing to work hard at earning an education. (read more)
...While in graduate school, I helped a struggling undergrad student pass his Psychology final. I was on staff with my school newspaper in high school and edited stories for a creative writing journal. I have worked with two cousins with ADHD as well as with students in residential facilities.
