...Did you know that Tolkien was fluent in Latin by the time he was 12? I've taught Latin 1/2/3, Classical culture, Classical History, Ancient Mediterranean History, & Greek and Roman Mythology to students ranging from 4 years old to those who are in their 60's. I love a good nonfiction history book, a Latin translation, and trying activities that our ancestors did several hundred years ago. (read more)

...I engaged in mathematics proofs, and studied logic independently for philosophy, this included taking a couple courses in logic itself, e.g, Symbolic Logic. I was a teacher's assistant for a semester of finite math at my University. I held independent sessions 2 days a week, in place of their normal class meeting, to reinforce material in creative and engaging ways. (read more)
...I worked as a tutor and supplemental instructor at Crafton Hills College for math, physics, and chemistry for four semester before getting three associates of science in math, chemistry, and multiple sciences. I worked as a private tutor within Crafton and further branched to work as a learning facilitator for a calculus based physics class. I didn't like that as much as one on one tutoring. (read more)
