...For students really good at math, I teach the algebraic or "textbook" way to solve problems. For students not super comfortable with algebra, I teach the "backdoor" or "Desmos" way to get to the answers. As a result, all of my students have improved noticeably, from low 600s to high 600s, and low 700s to high 700s, a few of them even got the full 800. (read more)
