...In the past I have gained a nickname from my students. They call me "the Grammar Hammer." While I've introduced myself as the Grammar Hammer, I've seen that it helps lighten the mood and anxiety of students and help them open up about problems they are having in writing. I'm not one who would just mark something wrong and ask students to change their wording. (read more)
