...I've been teaching math including linear algebra for 10 years. I've completed two courses in Linear Algebra, one as undergrad and the other as grad student with A-. This Fall I will be conducting supplemental instruction sessions in Linear Algebra at MSU. I've been using apple computers since the first Macintosh classic came out. (read more)
...My teaching strategy uses an item analysis approach which accurately identifies student’s strengths and weakness. From there, we create a learning plan which addresses the student’s weaknesses while increasing mastery of strengths. ...Topics covered included Sequences and Series, Limits, Conic Sections, Sketching graphs, Finding roots of a Polynomial, Complex Numbers, etc. This was a difficult subject for most of the students. However, with proper guidance on techniques in problem solving, all became adept in mastering challenging problems, and went on to do well in their exams. (read more)
...I have worked with a number of students preparing for the ISEE test on the lower, middle and elementary levels. In supporting my students I used the official ISEE prep book as well as other resources. We worked on math skills (both quantitative reasoning and mathematics achievement) reading comprehension and vocabulary. (read more)
