...As an undergraduate, I minored in history, and after getting my M.Ed. I was certified as a middle school social studies teacher. American history is so often misrepresented in today's curricula, so working with a tutor can help a student get a grasp of the full scope of that history. (read more)
...I am a very strong believer in systematic phonics. My students learned to read because I taught them using the systematic phonics approach. I've never had a student who did not respond to this instruction, and I want to continue to help struggling readers learn to read. (read more)
