...I have a math degree from Yale (as well as music!) and over 6 years of SAT tutoring experience. It's important to balance mathematical content understanding while still seeing the big picture. The questions on the SAT don't say "solve for x" anywhere near as often as you might expect; really, it's all about being flexible and able to apply your content understanding in various ways! I also did a lot of work with Number Theory and Cryptography in Applicable Algebra and covered all relevant material on Probability.
