...My public speaking experience began almost 18 years ago, in competitive debate. It involved researching and becoming an advocate for a topic, and delivering a speech detailing my point of view. Later in competitive speaking, I learned to memorize written material (plays, stories) and deliver the material to audiences of all sizes - anywhere from 10-15 people to a large room of 300 people.
