...I usually start my class with the introduction of what we are about to learn, and then explicitly teach the materials. lots of activity takes place during my lesson such as games, role play, etc. Before ending the class I make sure that the student has learned what is taught through some question answers. ...I think being able to tutor kids and show them how many different processes there are to reach that one solution to a problem is key. That way, they have the opportunity to choose which method best suits them.
