...I typically work with kids who are 5-12 years old. It is important to me that I get to know each student's individual needs and goals, so I can help them further their education in the best way possible. ...Much of my approach to teaching has been inspired by my time there. Led by a scientist at the University of Kentucky, Nerd Squad uses science experiments and games to engage students and promote self-identity as future scientists. During the Covid-19 pandemic, I led a program called “Dungeons and Dragonflies” - which was a role-playing game in a small, online group setting. (read more)
