...I love to journal and practice these skills on a regular basis. My experience has been primarily in lower elementary (pre-k, kindergarten and first grade). These are the years that phonics is drilled to ensure students have the tools to decode and create words. ...I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a B.A. degree in elementary education with endorsements in reading and language arts.
