...One of my tasks as an advance reader is to point out any typos or grammatical errors in the unfinished drafts. Additionally, I was an editor of my school newspaper, thus I have had a lot of experience proofreading and editing. I speak to students and observe them working on school work in order to help them with their study skills. (read more)
...That is indeed me hanging off a bridge I taught my students to build made only of Popsicle sticks and hot glue! In addition to ten years of tutoring extremely satisfied students, I have taught Physics, Algebra, Calculus, and Engineering to middle school and high school students for Duke TIP. At Duke, I developed curricula to teach a year of material in three weeks. (read more)
...Following graduation I went to work for a math teaching center that has since ceased to be, the mathnasium. I worked there for two years following graduation prior to its closure. Between then and now I have been working freelance with students. (read more)
...I have lots of manipulatives and use multiple approaches to fit each student's needs. I have successfully home-schooled my two, now-grown, children. Therefore, I hope to support home-schooling families with their math and science curricula. (read more)
