...Trigonometric skills are so essential for both Physics and calculus. Teaching both Physics and calculus enables me to know what are things that students get confused about and how to make them grasp the idea. In high school, I spent a year tutoring my math teacher's son, spending time every week with him working on improving his skills and grades in Algebra and Geometry.
