I entered a history PhD program because I love history. I completed my program with the realization that as much as I am an historian, I am even more an educator. Teaching at the secondary level has strengthened my commitment to education. (read more)
...My teaching method is to review the subject matter and then to work through a few examples with the student. I am always asking the student to participate in working the example by asking them questions along the way. My favorite place to do this is at the whiteboard where we work together back and forth as we arrive at the solution. (read more)
