...Based on my past experience and watching teachers and other tutors teach, I found out that being patient was crucial. If the tutor is frustrated, then the student will be frustrated as well. ...Despite over ten years of experience tutoring, I've always kept tutoring as a part-time thing with a limited number of students. I prefer it this way so I can get to know my pupils better. In addition, this arrangement means that I usually have enough free time to be flexible in case the student needs an extra session for a test or midterms, or has to reschedule because of conflicts.
