...I scored a 5 on my AP Calculus exam, and have taken more math classes than required in college. I love being in mathematical discussions with students and professors, talking about anything from fractions to advanced calculus. ...There was a class called "Math for Elementary Teachers", and we had to write out explanations of how we solved problems. This helped students to understand each step they took, to dissect the math equation/problem. Many students struggled with this, but I excelled. (read more)
I have been out of school for almost 20 years now. I was pre-Med at DePaul University, with intentions on becoming a vet, but decided I needed to take care of my family obligations instead. I had a 3.8 GPA at DePaul and graduated with Honors. (read more)
