...My grandpa was a math professor who taught using tangible examples to help explain the concepts in a concrete manner. He was my first math teacher and I have continued his legacy with my own kids and the students I tutor. Rather than drill on rote procedures, I take the time to explain the "why" behind each step of a problem and ensure that the student understands before moving on. (read more)
