...Via my school-age son, I have recently gained a lot of experience in some wonderful interactive math-teaching software and websites, such as Desmos, Geogebra and Mathigon. I don't think that schools have started using these much yet, but they have great potential for helping a tutor to make math more tangible, interactive and engaging. ...I have also taken classes on algorithms, graph theory, combinatorics, and probability, which are all covered in most discrete math courses. I have also gotten A's in most of those courses as well. Most of my courses in undergrad were completed using C++. I have used C++ in the foundational courses on data structures and algorithms. (read more)
