I have been a Spanish teacher for the past 13 years at a college preparatory school. I discovered my passion for teaching and the Spanish language and culture when I was in high school myself and took a service trip to Nicaragua. ...Geometry requires a specific way of thinking that I feel I can properly communicate to students. I have taken all the Algebra courses at my high school and have succeeded at the highest level of high school math, Calculus BC. As a member of Math Honors Society I have also had plenty of experience tutoring younger students in a variety of math classes, with Algebra being the most common. (read more)
...I firmly believe that anybody can learn math, it just requires practice and patience. My approach is to introduce topics in a way that I believe is simple to understand and follow that up with examples and practice problems.
