...Testing was never my strong suit and lectures were definitely not my preferred learning method. I would rather show my knowledge of content through projects or hands-on activities. During my junior year, I had a professor that taught me how to incorporate different learning styles that encouraged students to think/connect/understand, rather than memorize. (read more)
...Beyond academics, I spend my time in the wilderness, backpacking, kayaking, and bicycling. With an extensive mobile shop, I also craft items via metalworking, woodworking, and bushcrafting. ...I graduated from Drexel University with a bachelors degree in secondary math education, then immediately went to work at a high school for three years. When I moved states, I ended up finding a position as an 8th grade math teacher and have been there ever since!
