...During COVID, I've often made use of whiteboards to take apart tricky sentences. I draw color-coded diagrams to take apart the puzzle pieces of syntax, rearranging components and drawing brackets and arrows to try to show the logic of what's going on. It's low-tech, but it's effective-- and a lot of fun. (read more)

I have done extensive doctoral work on global history subjects and have been in contact with historians in Britain, France, and Israel. ...I love teaching others how to make sense out of precalculus and how to simplify it so much that it becomes understandable.
