...When a word does not make sense or is not familiar to them, they should look it up instead of jumping over it. As a former English major, I read a lot of books and each one has its own story and meaning; it is important to read the whole book at least once. At a higher level of reading proficiency. it is acceptable to skim a book, reading quickly but carefully. (read more)
