The mathematics on the SAT is less advanced than ACT math: you will not be asked anything from precalculus or trigonometry on the SAT. The tradeoff is that questions on the SAT can have trickier wording. For example, the SAT might give you an equation like x^2 + 6x + 9 = 49, and then ask for the positive value of 3x. (read more)
