...I have always taught my children as I tutored them through school that the were not to listen to other people who tried to label them, they were "special" because they were smart and could be or do anything they set their heads to do. The only difference in them and other kids is that they have a "special" way of learning. You just have to find that "special" way and run with it. (read more)
...I have gotten the chance to attend a few digs in the Western Carolina area particularly in Haywood county; and I thoroughly enjoy it. I also greatly enjoy reading it has always been my favorite class. I was a camp counselor this summer at a girl scout camp and it was an amazing experience to watch the girls grow from every new challenge they overcame. (read more)
...I have four children, ages 28, 25, 21 and 17. All of them except the oldest child were "special" education children with learning disabilities. Two of them had ADHD with specific learning disabilities, and one of them just had specific learning disabilities. (read more)
