...The approach is multi-sensory and it will allow the student to use picture/word/sound tools to help them to learn the mystery of specific sounds thus helping them to learn to read, write, and spell. For example, r-controlled vowels can be remembered using specific words. Whenever a learner sees a r-controlled vowel in a word all they have to do is use the sound associated with that word.
