...Both of the schools that I have taught at have been low performing and in both cases I have been able to raise the scores of students in the content of English. ...I have always taught my children as I tutored them through school that the were not to listen to other people who tried to label them, they were "special" because they were smart and could be or do anything they set their heads to do. The only difference in them and other kids is that they have a "special" way of learning. You just have to find that "special" way and run with it. (read more)
...This is so rewarding when you see the look on their faces when they succeed. I have graduated 2 children from special education who had specific learning disabilities. I also am homeschooling our youngest daughter who also has specific learning disabilities. 2 of these children also had ADHD and depression. (read more)
