We had subjects such as apologetics, Bible, logic, and had the truths of the Bible underwritten in most of our studies. I've been teaching children to read and improve their writing for over 20 years, starting as a volunteer in my son's kindergarten class. I enjoyed helping children so much in this way that I went on to study literacy and language acquisition for my Master's work. Now I tutor reading, writing, and language arts after retiring from teaching in a small, private school. (read more)
...My mother went crazy trying to figure out what my problem was. How could I maintain an A in English so easily, yet fail every other class? I always looked at the teacher during a lecture, I read along when my class took turns reading paragraphs out of our text book, I copied down the notes, and I even read the study guides! (read more)
