...I have learned that everyone learns differently, but when a student has trouble with the material is mostly because they need to master the basic concepts first before tacking the harder stuff. This can be because the instructor explains too quickly, or the class goes by too fast, etc. It does not really matter, we can identify the problem and start making progress right away. (read more)
...As a private tutor I focus primarily on math and science, though if I have rapport with a student I can help with most subjects. For math students, I am best suited for all levels of classes for grades 5 - 12. ...I was an SIL (supplemental instruction leader) in college and I would host my own class before the actual class. Everyone that attended my class regularly passed with a B or higher!
