...For this, I had students bring difficult homework questions and course content for me to explain and teach, supplementing and clarifying what they learned in class. Here again, I pushed for understanding over memorization and was able to successfully improve the grades and test performance of multiple students. ...The excitement when taking on a new challenge, analyzing the problem, exploring new ideas and gaining valuable insights in the process, finding optimal solutions and then testing them is absolutely exhilarating to me.
