...I often considered becoming a teacher during my time in academia but decided to go down the more industrial route of becoming an engineer. ...While studying for my degree I spent a year working at Granada Hills Charter High School teaching Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Statistics, and trigonometry and helping students who were struggling in the classroom get their grades up. I worked with kids ages 14-18 at the time and was also doing one on one private tutoring. The kids I was tutoring were between 6-18 in age. (read more)
