...The course covered different types of speeches (persuasive, informative, etc.). When I ran the Student Government group at Bronxville, I instructed the students on how to give a speech to get them elected to various posts. They would then deliver the speeches in the High School auditorium in front of the entire student body. I taught 11th-grade English for over 20 years. (read more)
