...In the process of training to become a school teacher, I took a course in teaching students with disabilities. Training included student teaching at a school and working one-on-one with a student who was diagnosed with ADHD. Since receiving my certification, I have had over 100 students who had IEPs that include diagnosis of ADHD, both inattentive type and hyperactive type. (read more)
