...In high school, I received a 96 on my Alg 2 regents and even now, the concepts are relevant to my coursework in college because algebra is the foundation of advanced math. I'm a sophomore at Johns Hopkins with a major geared towards chemistry, chemical engineering. ...When we work together on a problem, I make sure my student is engaged and curious in finding solutions. I always encourage students to show their work and often ask them to "teach it back" to me to make sure that they understand the steps in the problem solving process.
