I received a Bachelor in Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. I then went on to earn an MD from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY, after which I decided to pursue high school science teaching. ...When I was in elementary school I started taking additional math classes, which were at an accelerated level. Through these classes my passion for math began to blossom.
