...I have taught both AB and BC Calculus. With these classes, examples can be helpful, however I feel that learning the thinking process that goes into solving problems is more important for success. So while I still use examples, I also try to guide the student through the thinking process needed to solve the problem so that when they encounter a new problem, they know how to think about it.
