...I have taught myself the basics of several other instruments as well, but my current focus is on folk guitar. I began classical piano and music theory lessons at the age of 5 and continued them until 18. I began teaching piano in high school, teaching students aged 3-14, and have continued to do so sporadically since. (read more)
...I a primary focus on phonics for struggling readers that then progresses to fluency skills. I also incorporate reading comprehension as well as grammar skills in the lessons. For young students I make sure to keep the session moving and not linger too long on any one skill to maintain interest and engagement for the entire duration of the session. (read more)
