...My teaching style is to listen to the student to gauge their understanding and then walk them through that concept with examples. I like to give them ways to remember the concept so it will stick with them. ...I encourage students to understand the importance of the process instead of just "getting" the right answer. I also make the connections from what they have learned to where they are going.
